I have a cousin whom I was a year ahead of in secondary school. After my WASSCE result was out, the result was bad; I had 4 credits and 4 passes. Don’t ask me the four subjects in which I had credits, LOL.
I had to rewrite the exam. Lo and behold, I went to write it in the school my cousin was attending at the time. I realized he was an ardent lover of cool music, what can be called blues. Everywhere he went, he was always with his earpiece. To cut the long story short, we passed the exam and we both gained admission into the same university.
During one of our examination periods, I went to his house and he was studying and listening to music at the same time. I marveled and wondered but I did not ask him if he was concentrating on his study because I knew he was a brilliant student. The truth of the matter is, music is not the same for everyone. Music is food for the soul as some people will say. But wait a minute, what is the correlation between music with sex? Is there any relationship between the two?
Does music affect sex?
Elite Daily argued that your brain’s dopamine levels will reach an even higher level if you were to listen to music while having sex. So, what is dopamine?
Dopamine is a type of neurotransmitter. Our body makes it, and it’s used by the nervous system to send messages between nerve cells. That’s why it’s sometimes called a chemical messenger. Dopamine plays a role in how we feel pleasure. Since enjoying sex has to do with our feelings, can it be argued that music is good when having sex?
What is termed music can be noise to others, so the right kind of music that an individual likes, plays a big role in maximizing the enjoyment/pleasure derived during sex. Just like in the football match, the noise made by fans can be likened to music because the noise is melodious to the players’ ears, which prompts them to play better for the fans and their teams.
What about lasting longer during sex?
Lasting longer during sex has nothing to do with music. It can even make you to reach organism early because of the increased level of dopamine in the brain. A lot of factors can make a man ejaculate as early as possible, however, that is a conversation for another day
